Joyce Marie Copeland

Joyce Marie Copeland, 62 of Morgantown, WV, passed away on Saturday, September 17, 2022 at Mon General Hospital with family by her side. She was born July 9, 1960 in Charleroi, PA, daughter of Edward Baker Smith of Houston, TX, and the late Shirley Jean Mullen Smith. Joyce graduated Barboursville High School and earned her associate’s degree from Fairmont State in Applied Sciences.  She worked in business administration for many years.  Joyce loved the beach and collecting sea shells especially in Aruba. The light of her life was her daughter, family and especially the grandchildren and the world revolved around them. In addition to her father, Joyce was survived by her daughter, Christine Michelle Squires and husband Jared, Morgantown, WV; three grandchildren, Logan Gabriel Squires, Taylor Destiny Squires, and Emilia Kay Taylor; three siblings, Mary Smith-Hill, League City, TX, her identical twin, Janet Adkins, Houston, TX, Charles “Chuck” Smith, Morgantown, WV; several nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends at Gospel Tabernacle, 103 School Rd, Mt Morris, PA, 15349 on Monday, September 26, 2022 from 1:00PM until the time of her Celebration of Life Service at 2:00PM with Senior Pastor Joe Adams officiating.
