Carol M Phillips, 74 Pennsboro passed away Monday, July 16, 2018 at United Hospital Center. She was born March 6, 1944 in St Mary’s, WV daughter of the late Clinton and Cassie Bills West. Carol graduated from Parkersburg Beauty Academy and was a hairdresser, owning her own shop for many years. She was a woman of faith and spent as much time as health would allow witnessing for Jehovah and she was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses. She was beautiful, tiny in statue with a big personality and she loved to dance. In her youth, she was adventurous, she rode a motorcycle before women did that and she passed that spirit of adventure down to her three children. She is survived by three children, Dedra E Gow and husband Thomas, Waynesboro, TN, Joseph “Ford” Snodgrass III and wife Amy, Sarasota, FL, Kristi A Gerathy and husband Sean, Venice, FL; ten grandchildren, Logan Gow, Michael Gow, Jonathan Gow, Patrick Gow, Joseph “Ford” Snodgrass IV, Austyn Hall, Timothy “Ryan” Snodgrass, Sydney Waire, Elexah Snodgrass and Tyler Dallaire; seven great grandchildren; two siblings, Joe West and wife Connie of St Mary’s, WV and Nancy Vannoy of St Mary’s; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by six sisters, Edna Smith, Marilyn “Tootie” Brammer, Betty Holmes, Ruth Bailey, Vivian Dearth and Erma Charlene Scadden Kuntz Neff; eight brothers, Jay, Delbert, James, Bill, Gene, Danny, Marion, Norman and David West. A service will be held on Sunday, July 22, 2018 at 1:30 pm the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 4127 Sunnyside Rd, Pennsboro, WV 26415.
