Betty Rose (Cottrill) Drainer

Betty Rose Drainer, 89 of Rosemont, passed away on Wednesday, June 5, 2019 at Meadowview Manor, Bridgeport. She was born May 27, 1930 in Mount Clare, the daughter of the late Ezra and Reva Courtney Cottrill.

Betty is survived by her two daughters, Carolyn S Davisson and husband Rick, Wallace, Debra Criss, Rosemont; six grandchildren, Richard Davisson and wife Kristy, Tina Currey and husband David, Michael Drainer and wife Mary, Matthew Drainer and wife Chandra, Dylan Criss and wife Jessica, and Dalton Criss;   seven great-grandchildren, Courtney and husband Daniel, Cody and wife  Corrie, Ryan, Trey, Kaelyn, Alissa, Elijah, and  two great-great grandchildren, Jacob and Brynlee; six sisters, Deborah Goodwin and husband Larry, Rosemont, Linda Wilhelm, Montana, Sharon Grega and husband Jay, Clarksburg, Judy Stewart, Flemington, Jeanette Corder and husband Pete, Galloway and Ruth Tryon and Hans, Clarksburg; one brother, Carl Edward Cottrill and wife Janet, Clarksburg, several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Betty is preceded in death by her husband, Harold Drainer, her daughter, Sheryl E Drainer; her son, Harold T Drainer Jr; son-in-law, Daniel J Criss; three brothers; Ezra Cottrill, Jr, Robert Cottrill, Ronald Cottrill; one sister, Dorthy Guzzi.

Betty enjoyed cooking and baking for her family.  She was a member of the Bailey Memorial United Methodist Church where she was very active in the Women’s Society.

Family will receive friends at the Bailey Memorial United Methodist Church, on Saturday, June 15, 2019 from 1:00pm until the time of the Celebration of Life Service at 2:00pm, with Reverend Gilbert Hart presiding.  Inurnment will be at Flemington I.O.O.F.
